The quaint little town, 10Km from Kosy Bay border or 115Km from Maputo (after leaving the ferry boat). It is also the home of Ponta D'Ouro Beach Resort, our “Island on the Continent”. For accommodation we offer 4 bedded, en-suite serviced beach cabanas, either non- self-catering or self-catering, with electricity and hot water. You can enjoy the ambience of our restaurant, relax on the patio or at the bar overlooking the sea –our cocktail bar can also be visited for an exotic experience.

Ponta De Ouro is known for spectacular diving at numerous reefs, and famous for deep-sea fishing. You can snorkel with Dolphins or whale sharks- an experience that will remain forever etched in your mind.

Mozambique offers several lakes in this area with magnificent bird viewing, and there is also the well-known Elephant Reserve-definitely worth a visit. Another popular alternative is just to sit back and enjoy the “Island Style” cocktails while listening to the sounds of the Ocean.

On the soft sandy track from the border you'll need a 4 x 4 to reach the resort, or you can make use of our shuttle service-you can leave you car at the border, where it will be kept safe during your stay.
